I went more than 15 months without updating this blog. It was dead. So why revive it now? Well, it goes back to why I started blogging in the first place.
Back in June 2005, I was five months into my new life in Washington. Blogging became a way for me to reach out to the friends and family I missed in Dallas, Indiana and beyond. I felt a little more connected to them, a little less alone.
Then I met a guy named Neil. As I got to know him and we figured out we kinda liked each other, the void in my life that blogging had filled began to diminish. And, yes, you can toss in a healthy dose of laziness. The novelty wore off, and I just didn't need the blog anymore.
Well, after a long slumber, I've come out on the other side. I've missed you guys! I've missed feeling that I could dump my thoughts here and someone out there might actually pay attention and care (or scoff, or roll their eyes). And I seem to once again have a thing or two to say about my ho-hum life.
So my goal is to post at least once a week. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for reading!

Was it really 15 months! Wow, i'm glad you're back. I need to try to keep up more with mine as well, but you know how certain people can be (good) distractions... :)
